As of June 15, 2006 I've decided not to post here anymore since I don't have as much free time. You will probably notice that most posts are stories from digg.com as it was easier to get it posted from their site. I don't seem to get much traffic here either and the Google Adsense isn't producing any money to benefit from it.

Thank you for taking time out to visit and perhaps one day I may return.

iPod Shuffle

I picked up an iPod Shuffle, the 1GB model from craigslist yesterday. I was looking for something that carried just enough music for my bike trips and wear it around my neck easily at home or anywhere. I looked at other devices but since I had some purchased iTunes songs, my best bet was an iPod. Those songs don't play on any other devices.

The Shuffle was the best bet for me but the price was too high. I've seen 512MB models sell for less than $80 which was a good price compared to $129 new. But when I found a 1GB model for $80, that was a good deal I could not pass. I'm pleasantly surprised that I enjoy the device as much as my previous iPods. It does take some time to get used to not having a display, but it means I need to learn how to better manage my playlists in iTunes to take advantage of the Shuffle.

I use a tape adapter in the car plugged into the headphone jack of the Shuffle to hear music. The lanyard is used to hang it on the rear view mirror. I don't need to be so careful with it like my past iPods because the casing is plastic and very durable. Now I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can about it and how to get the most listening pleasure out of it.

I got my 360 yesterday and have been enjoying it. This truly is next gen for the consoles and gaming experience. Nothing has been created like this before. My brother and I had luck going to a local Walmart and getting #13 out of 14 premium bundles. There were some Core systems that were taken by the late comers. They had limited game selection and didn't have Perfect Dark Zero, the game I was looking for.

We went to Rogers and rented Madden. Great game and online features. We also downloaded demos of NBA Live and Kameo. We played the Hexic HD puzzle game that came on the harddisk and downloaded the trial of Billards. It kept us busy all day for sure, but today I'm going to try and find PD0.

I also have it working with my tv setup and the universal media controller. Very nice to turn it on and off from one controller. If you can get one of these systems, don't wait. Go test it out at one of the kiosks before you buy if you want. See you online!

VW to make body shells for the Porsche Panamera

Volkswagen, which already makes the body shell for the Touareg’s Porsche Cayenne sibling, will be enlisted to make the body shell for the Panamera, as well. PSP Advance will be available on Nov 9th and works with all firmware versions of the PSP. The software lets you to watch MPG1, MPG2, MPG4, DivX, Xvid, and MOV files on PSP. You can transfer any file from the PC to the PSP via the 802.11b wifi. Looks like the PSP is a viable portable video option now! Can't wait to use my divx collection on the go!
